Science Week is an innovative communication initiative\u2014the first of its kind in Spain\u2014organised by FCRI since 1996. Every year it features a wide range of over 500 multidisciplinary activities for scientific and technological dissemination throughout Catalonia, including seminars and round tables, open houses at research centres and museums, workshops, courses and exhibitions\u2014all free and open to participants of all ages and backgrounds.<\/p>\n

Close to 1.8 million people have participated in Science Week over the past two decades, with a yearly average of 72,000 visitors.<\/p>\n

The SC is supported by the Department of Research and Universities of the Generalitat de Catalunya, and collaborates with over 100 organisations, including the 12 Catalan universities.<\/p>\n
